Neo-hippie is not anything of the above. it is not simply a vegeatarian, a pothead, a tie-dye wearer, someone who does not shower regularly, a rights activist, a person interested in spirituality or a person conserned with nature. a neo-hippy can not be defined or categorised, but may be someone who wants to take a stand for what they believe, wheather political or otherwise, someone who believes in peace and love, or someone who can identify with the values of other people labelled as 'neo-hippies'
Is anyone else sick of these Middle-Schoolers prancing around acting like they know why there wearing these peace signs. They wear these as a fashion statement, not as a revolutionary statement. They have no idea what the Peaceful Revolution is about. All they see is Miley Cyrus wearing a peace shirt, or holding up her hands in a peace sign whenever a damned photographer is around... These kids have no idea what we are fighting for, but are acting badass- as if theyre going to do anything about World Peace.... Meanwhile, they're probably watching The Hills and buying what ever the advertisers put in front of their dumbfounded faces.
If you really want change, not conforming to the consumer's is the first step.
